Simplicio Otero, 88, originally from Cubero, NM, passed away April 11, 2003. He has gone on to his place of rest with his two brothers, Cruz and Elfego, and his sister, Emma. Simplicio was a long-time resident of Ladera Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Albuquerque, and is survived by one sister-in-law, Elena Otero of San Fidel, NM. He also had numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be scheduled shortly to take place in San Fidel, NM.
