Nancy"Nana" Montoya, 83, of Los Lunas, NM, passed away peacefully at home, April 9, 2003 after a long illness surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Montoya was a lifelong resident of Los Lunas. She is survived by her children, Theresa Montoya Fullerton and her husband, David; Orlando"Reno" Montoya; Michael Montoya and his wife, Samantha; Carlos Montoya; Rozella Montoya Haynes; and Nancy Montoya and her husband, Joe Gonzales; her brother, Rafael Maestas; her sister, Lupita Maestas Chavez; her grandchildren, Diane Petring and her husband, John; Kevin Fullerton; Jenice and Pete Montoya; Jessica and Aaron Haynes; Orlando"Lando", Erica, and Olivia Montoya; and Rico, Nancy Jo, Tino, Gina, and Cristina Gonzales; her great-grandson, John Gabriel Gallegos; and a large extended family. Mrs. Montoya was preceded in death by her husband, and WWII Bataan survivor, Orlando Montoya; her mother, Adela Maestas; her brothers, Eulogio"E.J." and Jesus"Chuche" Maestas; her sister, Erlinda Maestas; and her son-in-law, Ken Haynes. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 13, at 1:30 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 2:30 p.m. at the San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 14, at 10:00 a.m. at the San Clemente Catholic Church, following a 9:30 a.m. visitation. Interment will follow at the San Clemente Catholkc Cemetery in Los Lunas. Her six grandsons, Kevin Fullerton, Pete Montoya, Orlando"Lando" Montoya, Aaron Haynes, Rico Gonzales, and Tino Gonzales, will be her pallbearers. The family sincerely appreciates the prayers and support that they have received from the community. Our deepest gratitude is extended to the UNM Hospice for their loving care of our beloved Nana during her final illness.
