SSGT. Joe Valles Sr. United States Marine Corps. On April 17, 2003, In memory. Our daddy, Joe Valles Sr., passed away, he was 67 years old. Dad served in the United States Marine Corps for 14 years. He served two terms in Vietnam, and was Honorably discharged in 1968. Our dad was a proud man and a good man. He served his country proudly without reservation. We love our dad very very much and we will miss him dearly. Joe is survived by his sons Joe Valles Jr. and wife Frances, Daniel Valles, Raymond Valles, Christopher Valles and ex-wife Helen Valles; five brothers; three sisters; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. Viewing and services will be held at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix NE., (San Mateo and Menaul). A viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2003, followed by the rosary, and concluded with the Mass of Christian Burial. At 1:00 p.m., our dad will be laid to rest with full military honors in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Following the burial, a reception will be held at Queen of Heaven Parish Hall from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. Standing flower pieces can be send to Direct Funeral Services 2919 4th St. NW.
