Annie C. Perea, 67, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Good Friday, April 18, 2003.¯ She is survived by her husband of 48 years,¯Jesus (Red) G. Perea of the family home; daughters, Gloria Stephens and husband, Mitch of Lakewood, CO, Jacqueline Babcock and husband, Tod and Judith Perea, all of Albuquerque; sons, Jesse G. Perea, Jr, and¯ Mark A. Perea and wife, Elaine, all of Denver, CO,¯and Ronald E. Perea of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren,, Raquel Perea, Jacob Perea-Babcock, Shay Babcock, Cole Babcock, and Sterling Stephens; sisters, Carmen Aragon, Maria Catalina Chavez and Rose Apodaca and husband, Gilbert, Elizabeth (Liz) Baxley and husband, Ben, Angie Hicks and husband, Joe;¯brother, Art Chavez and wife, Jolene, all of Las Cruces, NM, and¯Mary Medina and husband, Joe of San Diego, CA, Flora Doverspike and husband, Dick of Margate, FL, and Mary Chavez of Thornton, CO. Annie was born in Abo, NM. She was an avid bowler and a bilingual interpreter at the hospital, and provided homecare for the elderly. She was an active member of the Catholic Daughters of America of Queen of Heaven Church.¯ She will be remembered for her loving, caring nature and sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, sister and friend.¯ We love you...until we meet again. Rosary will be recited on Monday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.¯ Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 22, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont NE¯¯ Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.¯ Friends may visit French Mortuary, University¯ Blvd. Chapel, Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.¯ In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas Blvd. NE, 87110 for Ovarian cancer research.
