Obituary for Krug

Barbara Ann, passed away April 24, 2003 at the age of 75. She was the third child born to Lucien and Novella Hoch on May 8, 1927 in Las Vegas, NM. She graduated from East Las Vegas High in 1944 and attended Colorado Woman's College in Denver for two years. Barbara, then, attended the California Medical School of Technology and graduated as a Medical Technician. After moving back to Albuquerque, Barbara met her future husband, Roland W. Krug, in September of 1947 at the Paradise Valley Club. They were married at the First Presbyterian Church in Las Vegas, NM on June 10, 1949. Barbara was married to Roland for 53 years, raising four children. She is survived by her husband, Roland, and sister, Marion N. Smith, and was preceded in death by her brother, David H. Hoch. She is also survived by her children, Kristine K. Kline and husband, Edward, Marc S. Krug, and wife, Yue Zhang, Gary D. Krug, and Laura D. Krug and fiance, Gary Mathews.Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Kinnan L. Kline, Jared N. Kline and wife, Karen, Geoffery J. Krug, and Holly X. Krug; and one great-grandchild, Castor J. Kline. Barbara immensely enjoyed cheering on the UNM Lobo basketball team and completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She also stayed abreast of current news, especially headline trials, and enjoyed debating national, state, and local politics. To share a favorite lyric from Nat King Cole's"Nature Boy","The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return." Services will be held at French Mortuary - University Blvd. Chapel on Monday, April 28, 2003 at 2:00 pm with graveside service to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Should friends desire, a tribute of flowers or a contribution to their favorite charity may be made in her memory. May you rest upon soft eternal breezes, as a silken butterfly in effortless flight.French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
