Obituary for Gonzales

Bentura A. Gonzales, 85, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2003. He was a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church and the VFW. He was a very religious man who loved gardening and the outdoors. He proudly served his country in the U S Army during WWII in the South Pacific Theatre. He retired from the Federal Government with 30 years of dedicated service as a security officer. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard in 1961; his parents, Bentura Sr. and Lupe Gonzales; one brother, Alberto in 2003 and one sister, Mary Stogden. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Anita of the family home; three sons, Jerry and his wife, Karen of Flagstaff, AZ, Ben and his wife, Judy of Davis, CA, Johnny and his wife, Gloria of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren; and one sister, Elena Ramirez of Roswell, NM. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 2, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. at the San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas.
