William Vitt, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003. Survivors include his wife, Ellen; his son, Jonathan; daughter, Cynthia Nellos and partner, Joe Boehning, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Melissa Castle and husband, George of Sierra Vista, AZ; grandsons, restaurateur Nicholas B. Nellos and wife, Devon of Albuquerque; Dr. Steven Castle and wife, Trina of Provo, UT; Lt. Christopher Castle and wife, Rochelle of CA; and granddaughters, Sarah Knight and husband, Ron of Columbus, MS; and Emily Mullenaux and husband, Cody of Flagstaff, AZ. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mrs. G.E. Vitt of Alexandria, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Vitt retired in 1974 from Mountain Bell at management level in Plant and Engineering. He served in WW II. He was a member of the Episcopal Church. Cremation has taken place and private interment will be at St. Mark's Columbarium at a later date."Life can be the same; after a trinket is lost, but never after the loss of a treasure."
