Obituary for Moya

In loving memory of Paublita T. Moya, 97, born on April 23, 1906, a resident of Contreras, NM, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2003. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Torres in 1940; her second husband, Lorenzo Moya in 1974; her parents, Antonio and Sofia Tafoya; her brothers, Pedro Tafoya; and Jesus Tafoya; her sisters, Marian Tafoya; and Lucinda Esquivel; her grandsons, Kenneth Romero in 1999; and Chris Torres in 1997. Paublita is survived by her daughter, Marian Romero and her husband, Bences of Contreras; her son, Tony Torres and his wife, Priscilla of Albuquerque, NM; her brother, Abenicio Tafoya and his wife, Mary of Contreras; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and close friends. All services will be held at the San Jose Mission Catholic Church in Contreras, NM. A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. and will follow with a Rosary at 7:00pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 30, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. with interment following at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery.
