Obituary for Calt

Barry Francis Calt lost his life after a long illness on May 26, 2003. He was born into a loving family at St. Joseph's Hospital in Albuquerque on May 11, 1970. Barry graduated from Sandia High School and attended the University of New Mexico. He joined the United States Navy and was trained as a Hospital Corpsman, a duty he performed at Portsmouth Naval Hospital until his Honorable Discharge. Barry loved his mom's beef stroganoff and every opportunity to share his great sense of humor. He worked as a limo driver on the East Coast before returning to Albuquerque, the city he loved, to be a Sales Consultant with University Volkswagen/Mazda. Barry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Elaine Burger and grandmother, Mary Calt. He leaves behind his parents, Eugene and Jean Calt; brother, Daniel Calt; grandfather Owen Calt; aunt, Doretta Calt and uncle, Kevin Calt, all of Albuquerque; sister, Stephanie Calt; brother, Brian and sister-in-law, Susan Calt of Colorado Springs, CO; uncle, Jim Calt of Anchorage, AK; aunt, Catherine Neubauer of Churchville, PA; and uncle, Robert Burger of Houston, TX; and many cousins throughout the United States. Barry was baptized into the Catholic Church at Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish where he received the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2003. His cremated remains will be placed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. His family asks for your prayers.
