Obituary for Haralson

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday June 11, 2003

Michael"Mike" Haralson, appreciated from January 1, 1946 through June 7, 2003 and beyond. He was preceded in death by Debra Haralson. Mike resided in the North Valley with his dearest friend and partner-in-life, Toni Minoli. His compassion showed through as he cared for his mother-in-law, Gina, in her suffering from Alzheimers. Mike is also sorely missed by his beloved felines, Smokey and Tasha, the latter exhibiting much of all his personality. He leaves a great melting pot of friends too numerous to count all know who they are. Possibly the most important of these may be his"little angels" who he will keep watch over. Mike also leaves behind his mother, Norma; stepfather, Chuck; sister, Liz; and brother, Joe. Always the athlete up to a challenge, Mike fought courageously against an unexpected opponent. While he may have been defeated in that fight, he will remain a true champion to those of us who knew him. At 4:49 a.m., Saturday, June 7, 2003, the decision for the final round came in. Mike will remain in our hearts forever and always be with us. Green Grass and High Tides forever. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at 3:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's name to the Alzheimer s Association of New Mexico, 8100 Mountain Rd. NE, Suite 102, 87110 or to the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico, 615 Virginia SE, 87108. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 823-9400
