Obituary for Losinski

Magdalene M. (Maggie) Losinski, 71, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Saturday, June 14, 2003. Maggie was born on July 22, 1931 in Vida,"Riverside Community", MT to Joseph and Anna Bailly. She moved to Albuquerque in 1961 with her husband and family. Maggie was known for her caring and giving nature. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working craft projects, gardening, and watching colorful hummingbirds flit about her homemade feeders. She compassionately gave of her time and volunteered over 3000 hours at Anna Kaseman Hospital. She always had a smile for those she met and was never too busy to play a game with her grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by young and old as the"Grandma with the homemade cookies" or the"Grandma with the strawberries". She also was known for having a"home remedy" for almost everything imaginable. She was preceded in death by her brother, Julian Bailly. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joseph B. Losinski; her sons, Sylvester; Paul and wife, Stacy; Armand and wife, Pam; and Eddy and wife, Jane; her daughter, Anita Romero and husband, Pat; her brothers, Albert and wife Barbara; George and wife, Helen; Leon and wife, Irene; and Ernest and wife, Mary; her sisters, Agnes Brown and husband, Herb; and Marguerite Lemieux; nine grandchildren, hannon, Ian, Kayla, Weston, Kenton, Marcus and Sheila Losinski; and Amanda and Waylon Raether. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Thursday, June 19, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 20 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 1818 Coal Ave. SE, with Father Robert Chabot, Celebrant. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice.
