Obituary for Turrieta

Mary (Lollie), 54, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away early Monday June 23, 2003 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lollie was well loved by the Barelas community, especially by owners and friends, Benita and Michael; co-workers and patrons of the Barelas Coffee house where she worked for more than 20 years as a beloved, and well known waitress. Lollie was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Turrieta; sister, Elaine; and niece, Desiree. She is survived by her daughters, Frances and husband, Leonard children, Leonard Jr., Lorenzo, and Monique; Stephanie and husband, Alex, children, Matthew and Joshua; Denise and children, Angelo, Fernando, Dominic, Marcos and Denae; and son, Jesse and wife, Megan children, Destiny and Savannah. Also survived by her mother, Alice and stepfather, Charlie Cadena; brothers, Pete and Joe; sisters, Nadine and Charlotte; and beloved husband, Francisco Carrillo. A Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish Church, 5415 Fortuna N.W., Friday, June 27, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. A fund has been set up in the name of Stephanie Sanchez (Mary Turrieta/Carrillo Funeral Account), at the USNMF Credit Union, 616 Gold Ave. S.W. to help with the cost of funeral expenses and other expenses incurred during her long battle with cancer.
