Bernice K. Duke, 92, died Monday, June 23, 2003. She is survived by her granddaughters, Ann Cassel Cairns, and Susan Cassel both of CA, Elizabeth Duke Landry of Bayfield, CO; grandson, John Cassel of Huntington Beach, CA; five great-grandchildren, Christine Cassel, Zachary Landry, Grace Landry, Allison and Alexandra Cairns; and four great-great- grandchildren. Mrs. Duke was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Duke; two sons, James R. Cassel and J. Michael Duke; grandson, Matthew Cassel. She was a member of the Immanuel Presbyterian Church, and the Nora Mitchell McDowell Chapter (United Daughters of the Confederacy). Mrs. Duke was a former member of numerous civic, business and professional organizations. After cremation, Memorial Services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle SE, with Rev. Joyce Lieberman, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to the Shriners, P.O.
