Obituary for Knudson

Dovia Irene Knudson, 99, a long time resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Maxine Wilson and husband, Warren of Albuquerque; six grandchildren Lorraine Fjelseth and husband, Don, Julanne Williams and husband, David, all of Albuquerque; Warren Bud Wilson II and wife, Bonnie of Rio Rancho; Suzanne Knudson, Greg Knudson and wife, Pat, and Bart Knudson and wife, Tammy all of Medford, OR; eight great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and other dear extended family. Mrs. Knudson was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Earl Knudson; son, Joseph Earl Knudson, Jr.; son, Baby Boy Knudson; six brothers and one sister. She owned and operated several retail grocery businesses with her husband from the 1930s to the 1960s. Mrs. Knudson was a member of the Eastern Star and 1st Baptist Church. She enjoyed dancing, bowling and playing cards. Services will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual Blvd. NE, with Rev. Dennis Lihte officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Noonday Ministry, 1st Baptist Church, 101 Broadway NE, 87102.
