Obituary for Sanchez

Eulogio C. Sanchez, 93, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, CA. Born on May 16, 1910 in Belen, New Mexico to Anita Cordova and Ramon Sanchez y Garcia. He lived in Albuquerque for the majority of his life but resided in Hemet, with his wife Wilella for the last 16 years. Mr. Sanchez, a retired locksmith was a member of the Associated Locksmith's of America and a charter member of the New Mexico Locksmith's Association. He was a very active member of the Sierra Dawn living community serving as a Past Wagon Master of the Roamers, current participant of the Homers and the guitarist for their Rubber Band, as well as their resident locksmith and fix it samaritan. Mr. Sanchez was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. His past-times included jewelry and clock making, crafting, playing the guitar, traveling, meeting people and spending time with his extensive family. He is survived by his wife Wilella of Hemet, CA; sister, Sylvestra Luna of Albuquerque; a son, Joseph P. and his wife Merle Dean of Albuquerque; five daughters, Lucia Sanchez McGranahan and her husband Raymond of Albuquerque, Anna Wilson and husband Al of Humble, TX, Jeanne Vander Biessen and husband Rudy of Carlsbad, CA, Marilyn Henry and her husband Bob of Tucson, AZ and Betty Olson and her husband Craig of Denver, CO; 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Mr. Sanchez will be deeply missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the John XXIII Catholic Community, 4831 Tramway Ridge Dr. N.E. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dr. Damion Sanchez, Doug Fletcher, Marc McGranahan, Dale Glines, Bob De La Hunt and Jeff Callicott. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Gilbert Luna, Dr. Randy Baca, Craig Olson, Rudy Vander Biessen, Al Wilson, Raymond McGranahan and Bob Henry.
