Mary R. Montano was born June 7, 1923 in Cuba, New Mexico and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away June 25, 2003. She was a member the Catholic Church, and Barelas Senior Citizens Center. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Johnnie Camilo and is survived by two sons, Ray Montano and George Montano and wife, Maria all of Albuquerque; two daughters, Theresa Romero and husband Ramon of Cuba, and Elvira Montano; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; other nieces, nephews, family and friends in Cuba, Dallas, TX., Albuquerque and the Barelas Neighborhood. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. June 30, 2003 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover SW., in Albuquerque. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM. Burial will follow in the Cuba Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jaime Rios, Aaron Rios, Ilie Spilca, Juan Romero, Ricky Romero, and David Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Felipe Romero, Carlos Atencio, Felix Atencio and Richard Atencio.
