David Alan born January 1, 1949 in Albuquerque, passed away June 24, 2003 at his home in Temple Terrace. Beloved husband of Dr. Ruth Banes and devoted son of Dale and Dorothy Bealmear of Albuquerque. Also survived by uncles, L.I. Bealmear of Tulsa OK, Harry DeRemer; and cousin, Flora Harris of Albuquerque. Preceded in death by sister, Melinda; and brother, Brian. Adjunct Professor at University of Tampa and University of South Florida. Raised in the Southwest, BA and MA from University of New Mexico. Scholarly interests included literature, film, music, and was an avid sports fan.
