Philomena ¯Philo¯ Sanchez, age 90, passed away Friday June 27th, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Robert S. Sanchez Sr.; son, Robert S. Sanchez Jr., daughter, Margaret A. Sanchez all of Albuquerque, grandchildren, Robert Lewis Sanchez and wife, Teresa of Florida, Carlos A. Sanchez of Albuquerque, and Susan Patricia Barbee of Colorado; great-grandchildren, Britney Alexis Sanchez and Robert Santana Sanchez; brother-in-law, Manuel Sanchez; sisters-in-law, Marie Carbajal and Francis Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Maria Gallegos and seven brothers and sisters. Her father was the Sheriff of Torrance County in 1922. Philomena graduated from Estancia High School and married her High School sweetheart Robert. Robert and Philomena shared nearly 69 years of marriage together. She also was a member of the Alter Rosary Society in Estancia for many years. A Rosary will be recited at Risen Savior Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Monday June 30 at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday July 1 at 10:00 a.m. St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Estancia followed by burial at Estancia Cemetery.
