Obituary for Nix

Jewell Stewart Nix, 93, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972 and a longtime resident of Lubbock, TX, died Saturday, June 28, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Billie J. Stribling of Albuquerque; foster daughter, Nita Slingerland of Santa Fe; sister, Ruby Rogers and husband, Foye of Albuquerque; niece, Geraldine Saffle and husband, Rex of Lubbock, TX; nephew, Wayne Farley and wife, Sherrie of Lewisville, TX; great-niece, Teri Davis and husband, Tracy of Lubbock TX; and other great-nephews and great-nieces. Mrs. Nix was preceded in death by her first husband, William Raymond Stewart; and her second husband, Carroll R. Nix. She was a longtime member of Netherwood Park Church of Christ. Mrs. Nix traveled extensively with her husband Carroll R. Nix. She was a member of the Airstream Club. Mrs. Nix was a Department Manager for many years at Sears Department Store in Santa Fe. Services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe Memorial Gardens.
