Obituary for Wilcoxen

Jeffrey L. Wilcoxen, 48, a resident of Albuquerque, died at his home on Saturday, June 28, 2003. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Dale and Lois (Wilcoxen) Goyen of Pekin, IL; son, Eric; daughter, Jessica Wilcoxen, both of Albuquerque; brother, Steve Wilcoxen and wife, Rachel of Baltimore, MD; sister, Cheri Muller and husband, Britt of Morton, IL; stepbrother, Randy Goyen and wife, Ann of Pekin, IL; and stepsister, Kandy Wright and husband, Phil of Canton, IL. He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Mr. Wilcoxen was born February 24, 1955 in Havana, IL to Gerald E. and Lois (Heater) Wilcoxen. He had been employed since 1976 by Sandia National Laboratories, where he held several positions, the most recent being manager of the Analog Electronics Engineering Department. He has been involved in the design of analog and digital electronics for inertial guidance and control systems, supporting WR weapons components, advanced exploratory weapons, and space-based optical payloads. Jeff has an MS in electrical engineering from the University of New Mexico. He was a member of the Sandia Nazarene Church. Services will be held Thursday, July 3, 2003, 12:00 noon, at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Cremation will follow. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Havana, IL. Jeff will be missed by his children, loving friends, and co-workers at Sandia National Labs.
