Vina S. Gallegos, age 72, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister was welcomed into the arms of the Lord our Savior, Thursday, July 10, 2003 while surrounded by her loving family. Vina was born in Sile, NM to the late Damacio and Elizabeth Segura. She is survived by her children, Joe Gallegos and wife, Roberta of Rio Rancho, Esther Segura and Herman Perea, Lupe Katsuleas and husband, James, and Elizabeth Lucero all of Albuquerque; her granddaughters, whom she raised as a daughter, Renee Gallegos and Immaculate Segura; her precious grandchildren, Damacio, Eileen, Brenda, Edwina, Elyra Gallegos, Alexander, Christopher Katsuleas, Bennie, Holly, and Valerie Lucero; great-grandchildren, Felicia, Dominique, Damacio Jr., Chanisty Gallegos, Angelo, Celest Lucero, Natasha Lucero, Libby Joe, Joseph Garcia, Santiago Segura and Angelica Garcia; and one brother, Libby Segura and wife, Ida of Albuquerque. Vina will will be greatly missed by her loving family. A rosary will be recited Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary; and on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd., NW. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Ruben Luna, Orlando Barreras, Bennie Lucero, Alex Katsuleas, James Katsuleas, Herman Perea, Simon Gallegos and Arthur Segura.
