Obituary for Wintersberger

Josef Wintersberger, 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1971, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Wintersberger of Albuquerque; son, Ralph Wintersberger of Tijeras, NM; sister, Elsa Jahrstorfer of Germany and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Wintersberger was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrud Wintersberger; sisters, Paula Knollmueller and Mariluise Wintersberger; and brothers, Otto Wintersberger and Franz Wintersberger. Josef was a machinist at Sandia Laboratory and retired in 1995. As a hobby he enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. While growing up as a young man he was a baker in Germany and in New York. Services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel with Deacon Bob Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Clinton Wolf, Loren Montgomery, Roberter Koegler, Jr., Jim Brown, Edward Lujan, Karl Buttner, and honorary pallbearer, Doug Pridham.
