Obituary for Turpin

Ralph Turpin, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2003 after a long illness. He was born and raised in Cimarron, NM and moved to Albuquerque in 1951 and resided in Belen at his time of death. He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church and was a devoted Catholic all of his life. He retired after 26 years of outstanding service with the New Mexico National Guard in Santa Fe, NM. Ralph was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a wonderful brother-in-law to his wives family. Ralph left behind a lifetime of wonderful memories and many, many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him and he leaves a void in our hearts forever. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Alice of the family home in Belen; his daughter, Patricia Turpin of Belen; his son, Ralph Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; his granddaughter, Brittany Burch; his sister, Angie Turpin of Cimarron, NM; and two nephews, Eloy Brazil of Cimarron and Gino Brazil of Espanola, NM; and his niece, Louise Martinez of Pueblo, CO. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church beginning with a visitation on Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at the Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron, NM at a later date.
