Adelaida"Ida" Maes, 76, a resident of Valencia, NM, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2003. She was a member of the Catholic Church. She loved to bake cakes, cook, garden, read, take pictures, listen to music, and most of all she loved spending time on the farm with her husband. She also collected various items throughout her life. Ida is preceded in death by her parents, Luis Sanchez and Soledad Aragon-Sanchez; and her brother and his wife, Frank and Dell Sanchez. Ida is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Florian; her son, Ralph and his wife, Naria; her daughter, Sheila; her grandsons, Gene and his wife, Debbie, and Michael Maes and his fiancee, Shiloh; her granddaughters, Elena and her boyfriend, Albert, and Graziella; her great-grandson, Joshua; her great-granddaughter, Alexandra; her brother, Juan Sanchez and his wife, Prescilla; and her sister, Mina Sanchez of San Diego, CA. Ida is also survived by many other loving family members and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2003 at 5:30 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Romero Funeral Home 609 N. Main St. Belen 87002.
