Obituary for Matteson

Jacob O. Matteson, age 88, beloved husband, father, and grandfather was welcomed into the arms of the Lord our Savior, Friday, June 20, 2003 while surrounded by his loving family. Jacob was a resident of Albuquerque; a parishioner of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church; and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a proud Veteran of the Untied States Army who served our country during World War II; and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Post # 15032. Jacob is survived by his loving wife Frances. T. Matteson of the family home; his children, Jacob F. Matteson, Audie F. Morris, Marie Yee Fong and Juan Yee Fong; his precious grandchildren, Carri L. Olden and family, Kim F. Morris, Paul Yee Fong; one great granddaughter, Michelle Olden. Jacob will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary; where a rosary will recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.
