Helen Alt Lodin, age 89, of Albuquerque and formerly of Dupont, PA, died Saturday, June 21, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vince in June 1999. The daughter of the late Andrew and Frances Koterba Alt. Dearly beloved sister of Paul Alt of Dupont, PA and the late John Alt of Mt. Pocono, PA devoted and adored stepmother of Ginger Kloppenberg and husband, Ken. Also surviving are grandsons, Jerry Kloppenberg and family and Craig Kloppenberg and family, great grandchildren, Kelsie, Corbin and Lodin, several nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Pittston High School and Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of nursing in 1934. A registered nurse, she inspired all around her by her determination, faith and energy she will be in our hearts always. Viewing and visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2003 with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary with Deacon Frank C. See officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Park 700 Yale Blvd SE with Ken Kloppenberg, Jerry Kloppenberg, Craig Kloppenberg, Charlie Myers, Richard Wetherill and Jacob Eppinga serving as casket bearers.
