Obituary for Coffman

Chloe Coffman was born Wannie Chloe Caughran, December 5, 1913 in Munday, TX. She was particularly fond of sharing the fact that she and her family moved to Grady, New Mexico when she was 18 months old in a covered wagon. She married Morton Coffman on December 24, 1939. They moved to Dove Creek, Colorado where she worked with her husband farming, ranching and living off the land. She was also an elementary school teacher for 32 years. She lived in Albuquerque for the last eight years. Chloe was very active in the community and in the Methodist Church her entire life. She was loved and respected by her family, students, and friends. Chloe was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother. She is survived by her brother, Virgil Caughran and his wife, Elsie of Albuquerque; her daughter, Barbara Woodward and her husband, Bob of Albuquerque; her son, Leroy Coffman and his wife, Carol of Tallahasee, Florida; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Chloe was a wonderful, kind and fun lady with an endless, angelic disposition. She will be deeply missed by all of us. Private family services will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
