Mrs. Mary O. Barela, 83, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on August 22, 2003. Mrs. Barela is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Solano and husband, Robert (Bob); one son, Lawrence ( Lorenzo ) Barela and wife, Tommy; one brother, Manuel Acanas; two grandchildren, Eric Solano and wife, Adella and Anna Marie Solano; two great grandchildren, Miles Solano and Madison Solano. Mrs. Barela was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mrs. Barela will be Sunday afternoon from 2:30pm until 3:00pm in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 3:00pm. A final visitation will be Monday morning from 8:30am until 9:00am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00am by Father Gene Gries.
