Obituary for Fox

Majorie Dyer Fox was born in Bennington, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry and Bertha Dyer. She died Thursday, August 21, in Albuquerque, NM, after a series of strokes which left her bedridden for the past four years. Marjorie is survived by her daughters; Mary Sue Fox of Albuquerque, NM and Martha Fox Spore and her husband, Robert of Lexington, VA; a granddaughter, Dixie Spore of Virginia Beach, VA; and a brother Ned Dyer and wife, Marie of Duncan, OK. She was married to Dick Fox, who preceded her in death in April 1975. Marjorie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Kappa Kappa Iota, AARP, and Albuquerque Association of Educational Retirees. Marjories teaching career spanned 37 years, teaching at Albuquerque High School, Sandia High School, Manzano High School and Albuquerque TVI Community College. Services will be Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Bruce Rich, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual NE. Friends may visit Friday, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
