Bellvia Hartwell"Bunnie" Kretchmer, 73, passed away on August 16, 2003, at home with her family, after an extended illness. She is survived by her children, Bellvia Hartwell Wolfenbarger"Missy" Baskervill and husband, Robert D. Baskervill Jr. and Laura Saylor Wolfenbarger Dugan. She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Thomas G. Dugan. Mrs. Kretchmer had served as a founding member of the Santa Fe Opera Children's Guild of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Co-Chairman of the New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair, The Albuquerque Junior League, and had been an active member in the New Mexico State Republican Party. After leaving New Mexico and relocating to Santa Barbara, CA, she had served as an active member of the Santa Barbara Junior League. During her lifetime she owned several restaurants, worked in Egypt, served as Executive Director of the Youing Musicians Foundation of Los Angeles, CA and most recently retired from the Banking Industry in Southern California. She relocated to New Bern in October of 2000 to be closer to her children. A private memorial service will be held, for the family, Wednesday, August 20, 2003, officiated by Dr. Peter Stube.
