Obituary for Shue

Faye, 12/22/1914 - 08/16/2003. Faye Shue, 88, a long time resident of Belen, NM, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday morning, August 16, 2003. She was born in Vernon, TX on December 22, 1914 to Tom and Josie McCray. Faye met the love of her life, Clyde M. Shue and married him in Clausy, NM on December 26, 1932. She was a loyal member of the First Baptist Church of Belen, Woman's Railroad Auxiliary, and was an avid bowler with many women's leagues at Sugar Bowl Lanes. Faye was a dedicated volunteer for over 25 years as a Pink Lady at the old Belen Hospital, a volunteer for the New Mexico Blood Drive, and was employed by Becker Dalies as a clerk for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde in 1989; her two daughters, Bobbie McKee in 2003, and Mackie L. Shue in 1953; her young grandson, Shawn Hidalgo in 1976, her parents; her brothers and sisters, Allie Hoffman; Lois Shoemaker; Scott McCray; Mackie Cooper; Darlene Jett; Alvis McCray; and Thelma Bryant. Faye is survived by her loving son, Clyde R. Shue and his wife, Pat of Belen; son-in-law, Stanley McKee of Winslow, AZ; five grandchildren, Pam Shue-Williams and her husband, Kevin of Los Lunas, NM, Walter Shue and his wife, Twila of Fort Worth, TX; Dwayne Shue; Kim McKee and her husband, David Sanchez; and Tammie Shue, all of Belen; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great great-grand children; one sister, Margie Clark and her husband Harry"Jr." of Truth or Consequences, NM; two sister-in-laws, Edna McCray of Denver City, TX and Norma Pike of Slanton, TX. She is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, and her loyal poodle"Baby". A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Belen at 1:30 pm with a funeral service at 2:00 pm officiated by Dr. Bruce Baker. Immediately following she will be laid to rest by her beloved husband at Terrace Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandson, David Sanchez, and her great grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, and Kyle Hidalgo, Marquita Torres, and Keisha Jaramillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be her great grandchildren, Glenda Jaramillo, Ryan, Michael, Jared and Miranda Shue, and Brandon Sanchez.
