Obituary for Hensler

Christopher Alan Hensler, 20, who was a resident of Albuquerque for 20 years, died suddenly as a result of an accident in Santa Rosa, CA, July 24, 2003. Chris is survived by his beloved parents, Tawn Head of Albuquerque and Arland Hensler of Pacifica, CA. Surviving grandparents include Eileen and Tom Head, Wathenia Thomas, Barbara and Jim Enoch, Sonja and Robert Hensler. Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was active throughout his childhood in the Tiger Cubs, Webelos and Boy Scouts and spent several years in Little League. As he grew, he became interested in music and was in performance guitar at Manzano High School where he graduated in 2001. Chris developed a fondness for the outdoors; he spent much of his free time in the mountains or at the ocean or beach. He wrote music and poems as a way to express his feelings of the world. He was an avid player of"Magic the Gathering" game and enjoyed playing video games with his friends. On July 31, 2003 at Cloudview City Park, Chris' closest friends held a beautiful Memorial in his name. Services will also be held on Monday, August 4, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Church of Religious Science, 3320 San Pedro NE.
