Obituary for Huston

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Saturday August 02, 2003

Stan Huston, 49, a resident of Edgewood, entered the presence of God, his Creator on July 30, 2003, after a two-year battle with leukemia. Beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Stan was a man of integrity and faith at home and in his profession. He approached all of life with a creative and inventive nature. Stan's dedication and passion for whatever task at hand - as a Rammed Earth contractor, or serving his church and community - was infectious, bettering all that had the privilege of knowing him. His sense of humor often caught those unfamiliar by pleasant surprise. While we mourn his absence, we celebrate his victory over death through faith in Jesus Christ. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cheryl Beaty Huston of Edgewood; children, Shiloh and Chandler of Moriarty; mother, Mary of Edgewood; sisters, Dodie Miller and husband, Larry of Capitan and Lucinda Williams and husband, David of Istanbul, Turkey. Stan was preceded in death by his father, Don Huston. A memorial service will be held at the Moriarty Civic Center on August 3, 2003, 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons, P.O. Box 13113, Albuquerque, NM 87192. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
