Obituary for Sulier

Ellen Marie Sulier, age 82, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2003. She was born in Clovis, NM on June 18, 1921. After high school she graduated from Shannon School of Nursing, San Angelo, Texas 1944. After graduation she joined the Army as a nurse, serving 1945 through 1946. She received a meritorious service plaque. After raising her four children, she had a career as a registered nurse at the A.T.& S.F. Railroad Hospital in Albuquerque, NM as the Outpatient Nursing Supervisor. She retired in 1979. She was very devoted to her family, especially her three grandchildren. She is survived by her four children, Ken Darrow and wife, Becky, Nora Sulier, Robert Sulier, and Barbara Bowdich and husband, William; three grandchildren, Jeff Darrow, Daniel Bowdich and Nikki Bowdich; sister, Faye Slovacek of San Diego, CA; brother-in-law, James Sulier of Clovis, NM; sister-in-law, Mary Williams of Kingman, AZ; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Marie was preceded in death by her parents and siblings who died in a fire when she was only 12 years old and later in life by her husband, Daniel Sulier; a sister, Viola Ray; and two brothers, Ralph Williams and Bill Junior Williams. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
