Obituary for Martin

Charles"Chuck" W. Martin, 66, a New Mexico resident since 1958, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003. Chuck was born April 21, 1937, in Lowell, Mass., the son of George W. and Hilda Bedford Martin, Jr. He was an accountant for several years, retiring from Johnstone Supply. Chuck served in the U.S. Air Force. He loved to play golf, was a Boston Red Sox fan and an avid reader. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ginger Martin, a daughter, Cynthia Martin, and former wife, Mary Martin. Chuck is survived by his"granddaughter," Vickie Tellier, and"great grandson," Jeffrey Martin Moretti, and longtime dear friend, Marilyn Wackerbarth, all of Albuquerque; eight brothers and sisters, Elise Martin, George Martin and wife, Bernie, Mary Damery and husband, Joe, Steve Martin, Ted Martin, Sandra Ramey and husband, Scott, Jimmy Martin and wife, Marianne and Glenn Martin, along with several nieces and nephews, all of the Eastern United States. Heartfelt thanks to Humberto and Blanca Gasson of Unlimited Care and Zia Hospice for their loving support and care for Chuck, Vickie and Marilyn in the last weeks of Chuck's life. A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 5, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. in the Vista Verde Mortuary Chapel 4310 Sara Road at Meadowlark Lane in Rio Rancho, N.M, with interment in the Rose Garden at Vista Verde Memorial Park immediately following the service.
