Obituary for Schumann

Mary"Marie" Elizabeth Schumann, a resident of Rio Rancho, for 15 years after moving here from Manhasset Hills, N.Y., died Aug. 30, 2003. She was born March 19, 1927, to Richard R. Coughlin and Elizabeth Kealy Coughlin. She was a guidance counselor for 38 years for the New York, N.Y., public schools system. She was a member of the Kiwanis Club and the San-Bern Federated Republican Women. Mary is survived by her husband, O. Douglas; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Frank Monteleon of Houston, Texas. Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and again at 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in Vista Verde Mortuary Chapel, 4310 Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Lane in Rio Rancho. A Rosary recitation will follow. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. in Rio Rancho. The time of services is pending.
