Obituary for Richardson

Dorothy Palmer Richardson, 76, died peacefully March 26, 2003 in Austin, TX, surrounded by her family. She was born in Hitchcock, Oklahoma February 23, 1927, and moved to Albuquerque in 1960. She was an administrator in the Department of Neurology at the University of New Mexico for 31 years, from its inception in the summer of 1964 until her retirement in 1995. In 1999, Dorothy moved to Austin, Texas to be closer to her children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Harrison Palmer in 1962; and later by her second husband, John William Richardson in 2002. She is survived by her son, Scott Palmer; daughter, Melanie Palmer and husband, George Murphy; and her granddaughter, Savannah Murphy. She leaves behind many beloved friends and colleagues in Albuquerque. A graveside ceremony will be held at the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Watonga, Oklahoma on April 5, 2003, at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 S.
