Myrtle D. Martinez, age 85, passed away in Albuquerque on April 5, 2003. Myrtle Martinez was born June 25, 1917 in Center, TX. She had made her home in Tucumcari until 1972, moving to Albuquerque. Surviving Myrtle Martinez is her son, Pat Martinez of Albuquerque; two daughters, Angie Houston of Tucumcari and Patty Alfred of Llano, CA; two sisters, Ruby Ortega of Las Vegas, NV and Theo Lafferty of Tucumcari; one brother, Charles Dekel of Anthony, NM; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Dunn Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gene Richardson, Methodist Minister officiating. Burial will be in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
