Bodil Friis, 87, died at her home on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003. Bodil was born in Denmark on May 20, 1916, to Niels and Anna Rorbech. She arrived in Calgary, Canada, in 1957, moved to Southern California in 1959 and settled in Albuquerque, N.M., in 1970. She was preceded in death by her husband, Erik Friis, in 1997. She is survived her son, Anton Friis of Albuquerque and by her daughters Marianne Artis and her husband Warwick of Australia and Anna M. Letz and her husband Jerry of Oregon. She also has three sisters, Inge Norkkentved of Denmark, Helle Egense of California and Birthe Rorbech of Florida, seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Vista Verde Mortuary on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at 11 a.m. followed by private interment at a later date at Vista Verde Memorial Park. Vista Verde Mortuary 4310 Sara Rd.
