Mildred Chiocchio, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on September 6, 2003. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 22, 1929 to Ettore and Rose Di Monico Zacchia. Mildred was married to her loving husband, Gene in October of 1958. She came to New Mexico in 1990 from Long Island, NY. Mildred was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her family and they were the most important thing in her life. Mildred was an incredible cook and loved pleasing others with her culinary delights. Mildred is survived by her beloved husband Gene of Rio Rancho; her cherished sons, Michael and wife Lorena of Rio Rancho, Jerry and wife Melinda of Long Island, NY; her three precious grandsons, James, Steven, and Peter; and many others who will deeply miss her. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Sunrise Funeral Options, 2400 Southern Blvd in Rio Rancho. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. also in the chapel with Father Michael Schamp as Celebrant. A committal service will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
