Obituary for BARTOW

BARTOW, MARGIE S. Margie S. Bartow lost her battle with lung cancer on March 5, 2015 at age 81. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born on April 20, 1933 in Lehi, Utah and graduated from Provo High School in 1951. She married Harold Erekson in 1952 and they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1959. She spent the next 20 years raising her children and being involved in their school activities. She married Charles Bartow (Chuck) in 1972. They enjoyed many happy years traveling and spending time with family and friends. Margie was preceded in death by her husband Charles Bartow and her parents Wright and Susan Seal. She is survived by sister Sally Davenport and niece, Debbie Griego; her four children Cheri Hunt (Bart), Brad Erekson (Terri), Sally Pickering (Earl), and Susan File (J.D.); her eight grandchildren Shaina Hunt, Ereka Hunt, Lindsey Knoblock (Adam), Steve Erekson, Valerie Weadock (Sean), Natalie Wieland (Andy), Justin File and Kelly File; and five great-grandchildren Seth Weadock, Emily Weadock, Ryan Wieland, Owen Wieland, Aubree File; and step-daughter Cherise Manning (Rusty) and her children Kyle and Kayla. Margie worked most of her life in the service industry. Her favorite activities included reading, bridge, bowling, watching Nascar racing and the Dallas Cowboys, attending the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, and traveling to Florida. She loved spending time with her friends watching a sports event, eating a good meal or having a drink together. She was fond of animals, especially dogs and turtles. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 11:00 am, at French Mortuary at 7121 Wyoming Blvd. N.E. Pallbearers will be: Brad Erekson, Bart Hunt, Earl Pickering, J.D. File, Justin File, and Steven Erekson.
