CASTIGLIA, MARION Marion passed away at home on January 12, 2015. She was born in York, PA on November 15, 1922 to Clara and Luther Wolf. Graduated High School in New Cumberland, PA, completed her Registered Nurse Certification at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, enlisted in the US Army Nurses Corps, served from April '45 to Dec '46 in the Philippines and Japan. Received her Bachelor's degree for Dickinson College and spend one year at UNC Chapel Hill working toward Masters in Social Work. While working for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, she married Gene Castiglia, Aug 15, 1952. They lived in Philadelphia and Boston, and then settled in Albuquerque in 1959. She was a member of St Luke Lutheran Church, AAUW, Planned Parenthood Board, Presbyterian Hospital Auxiliary, Camp Fire leader and many other volunteer positions. She enjoyed the arts, theatre, travel, cookouts, and spending time with family. Marion is survived by her daughters, Dr. Clare Castiglia and husband Lawrence Shore, and Genie Rossetti and husband Carmine; grandchildren, Jennifer Walsh and husband Kellen, Marshall Shore and wife Rebecca, Daniel Shore, Nicole Swanson and husband Paul, Alexandria and Dante Rossetti. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Eugene Castiglia. Remembrance will be held on Friday, January 23, at 1pm at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul Blvd. Albuquerque, NM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made the St. Luke Church and Preschool or Cross of Hope Lutheran School.
