SENA, JOE IGNACIO JR. Joe, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, 1/6/15, at the home of his daughter who, with her husband, lovingly cared for him during this past year while he battled an illness. Joe was born in Clovis, NM to parents Lala and Joe Sena. He graduated from Rio Grande High School where he was a champion wrestler and later joined and proudly served in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife Cathy Abeyta-Sena, his brothers: Richard, Charles, Thomas (Tommy,) and Robert (Bobby). He is survived by his two children: daughter Juanita Jo, husband Leonard Tartaglia and their child Sonny; son Tommy Sena and wife Nicole and their children Juanita, Thomas, Tianna, Geraldine, Jamal and Tanisha. He also had two stepsons Victor Trujillo and wife Monica and Michael Gutierrez. His remaining siblings are Virgina Chavez and husband Dennis, Lorraine Serna and husband Felix, Johnny Sena and wife Maria, Beatrice Sena, Patrick Sena, Margaret Zamora and husband Joseph. He will be missed by all including many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were fortunate to know him. The family would like to extend their heart felt gratitude to all who attended the services and reception and shared their sympathies and stories with us. He will always be connected to our hearts and will forever remain in our memories. The Rosary and Mass took place on Monday 1/12/15 at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church. The burial will take place today 1/14/15 at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:00am.
