SILVA, LEOCADIA R. Age 91, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015. Leocadia was born and raised in Belen. She loved dancing, NM music, walking around Barelas, quilting, cooking, thrift shopping, being silly and being involved at the Barelas Senior Center. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Garcia and husband, Bennie Silva. Leocadia is survived by granddaughter, Yvonne Garcia; companion of 21 years, Willie R. Lucero; son, Isidro Silva; four grandchildren; many great grandchildren and many siblings. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Garcia Mortuary ~ Chapel of Angels, 717 Stover Ave. SW, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 15, 2015, 10:00 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 309 Stover Ave SW.
