OLIVER, ELIZABETH ANN 7/12/1959 - 11/23/2014 Elizabeth Ann Oliver, 55, passed away Sunday, November 23rd, 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. She was a resident of Las Cruces, NM. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on July 12, 1959 to Charles Theodore Oliver and Emma (Aragon) Oliver. Charles preceded her in death, and she is survived by her mother Emma; brothers Chuck Oliver (wife Jeanette) and Andy Oliver (wife Christi); her sisters, Sandra Oliver and Sylvia Beeman (husband Bob); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Through grade school, she attended Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, and graduated from Highland High School in 1977. Elizabeth faithfully served her country in the United States Air Force. She received her bachelor's degree in Mathematics form New Mexico Tech University and through her work she was able to obtain a Master's of Business Administration (MBA). Elizabeth became a professor of mathematics at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales in 1994, after receiving her BS. She later joined Lockheed-Martin, and maintained her position with the Aerospace and Defense division in Glendale for 12 years. She would eventually transfer to White Sands Missile Range where she continued her tenure with Lockheed-Martin before moving to the Boeing Corporation. In her spare time she was a small business owner of the Organ Mountain Quilt Shop in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Elizabeth loved to read, and while living in Arizona, became an Arizona Cardinals and Diamondbacks fan. When she was not designing and dewing quilts for family and friends, she enjoyed an active life going on many cruises to locations such as Alaska, Argentina, and Russia. A rosary will be held Friday, November 28th at 7pm with funeral services being held at 9:00am Saturday, November 29th, 2014 at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church, 11509 Indian School Rd., Albuquerque. At a later date, a memorial to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held in Las Cruces, NM.
