Obituary for GORDON

GORDON, ROBERT Robert Gordon passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at age 93. He was born in New York City on September 22, 1921. During the Second World War he served for three years in the Army and then attended the University of California at Berkeley where he received his degree. During his career he was a civilian Human Resources Director for the U.S. Air Force and also was stationed at various locations overseas, primarily Paris and Casablanca. He was subsequently an Official of the United Nations in New York and wound up with a high ranking position in the Headquarters of the U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C.. After his retirement in Albuquerque, he began a new career involving a variety of literary activities, and published many poems, magazine articles and a novel and was active in a number of literary groups. He is survived by his wife, Paula Fix Gordon. A celebration of life will be held in the home of Tom and Carolyn Rigirozzi on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to a charity of choice.
