BACA, RICHARD L. Richard L. Baca, 74, of Lawrenceville, GA - formerly of Grants & Albuquerque, NM - passed away Monday, October 13, 2014, in Ogden, UT. Richard served in the United States Army's 3rd Armored Division, and was a retired computer programmer and IT Manager. Richard's passions included enjoying the natural beauty of Mt Taylor, elk viewing, camping and hiking, woodworking, exploring the great American West, and his family. Richard passed doing what he loved - enjoying the west on a camping trip. He was an avid chess player. Richard is preceded in death by parents Gene and Clara, brother Don, and sister Sylvia Lobato. He is survived by son Chris Baca of St Paul, MN; daughter Teri Estle (Barry); and grandchildren Max Estle and Nicholas Estle of Winter Springs, FL; sisters Carol Payne of Albuquerque, NM, and Irene and Dora Fidel of Grants, NM; life long friend and former wife Pat Baca, of Duluth, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services at Mt Taylor and St Teresa's Catholic Church in Grants, NM, and Santa Fe National Cemetery are scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be sent to Therapy Animals Utah at: therapyanimalsutah.org whose dogs provided much peace and comfort to Richard.
