Obituary for EICHHORST-EDDY

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday October 16, 2014

EICHHORST-EDDY, HELEN MARIE Helen Marie Eichhorst-Eddy was born November 9, 1962 in Albuquerque, NM, daughter of William Eichhorst and Janet Eichhorst. She was taken by a sudden illness but was surrounded by the love of her family and closest friends during her last days. Although Helen originally planned to work in Agriculture, and attended courses at NMSU, she worked in banking until finally finding her home working with Corrales Community Education at Corrales Elementary. Her side passion was crewing for the Adams balloon, I'm No Angel. She touched not only the lives of her family and friends, but her students, coworkers, and everyone else that she met. Known for her ability to put people at ease; listen to any problem; and help with anything, at any time, she leaves behind many who depended upon, and loved her, in ways that she never realized. She is survived by her husband, Clark A. Eddy; daughters, Justine L. Eichhorst and Jennifer M. Eddy; grandson, Darren J. Mock; her oldest brother, Thomas Eichhorst, and his wife, Donnie Eichhorst; sister-in-law, Lisa Eichhorst (brother Pat-deceased); her brother, Bob Eichhorst, and his wife, Susi Baylor Eichhorst; brother-in-law, Kevin Eddy, and his wife, Diana Eddy; brother-in-law Stuart Eddy, and his wife, Evelyn Higgins; brother-in-law, Clay Eddy; sister-in-law, Allison Sarracino, and her husband, Ray Sarracino; her best-friend, Tamatha Arp-Cowen, and her husband, Dave Cowen; along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and chosen family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18th, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the West Patio of Corrales Elementary School.
