ORTIZ, ALICIA SEGOVIA age 67, born December 10, 1946 in San Miguel, El Salvador, died October 6, 2014 in her home from cancer. She was a resident of Las Vegas, NM for over 30 years. She is survived by her daughters Cecilia Coca of Rio Rancho, Lala Jansen and husband David Jansen of Albuquerque; son Abraham Ortiz of Albuquerque; five grandchildren Cecily and Jeffrey Coca Jr, Christopher Montoya, Brianna and Alyssa Jansen. She is also survived by her Sisters-Brothers in-law Lorraine Sanchez, Geraldine Meyer (Michael), Fred Ortiz (Rosanne), Michael Ortiz, and Patrick DeBaca. She worked as a home health caregiver for many years for various companies and families as well as owned two successful restaurants in Las Vegas. She is loved by many people who she always considered family. Alicia was preceded in death by her mother Angela Guadalupe Segovia and father Hernan Gomez; her beloved husband Eloy R. Ortiz; in-laws Pauline and Eloy Ortiz; sisters-brothers in-law Donna DeBaca, Prescilla and Ray Garcia, and Gilbert Sanchez; and nephews Patrick Romero and Matthew Meyer. A Rosary will be held Monday, Oct 13, 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Oct 14, 9:00am, both at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Burial at Veterans National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM Friday Oct 17 at 1:30pm.
