POST, ELEANOR KAYE Eleanor Kaye Post passed away peacefully on September 27, 2014 after a short battle with ovarian cancer. Eleanor was 86 years old. She was living in Windsor, California and had her children at her side at the time of her death. She is survived by her daughter Dawn Lemcke (James Sameshima); sons, Dane Post, Derek Post and Darren Post (Jeffrey Nguyen). She is also survived by her grandchildren Benjamin Sameshima and Jeffrey Sameshima; and her brother Robert Kaye. Eleanor was born on October 7, 1927 in Watertown, Massachusetts. She worked for many years as a schoolteacher in Albuquerque, teaching in elementary and middle school. She had an intense interest in history and also was passionate about the outdoors and her State of New Mexico. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Eleanor requested that no memorial service be held. Eleanor wished that all remembrances would be made to The New Mexico Wilderness Alliance.
